ABOUT THE SHOW
Nearly one in five NHS staff members report a non-British nationality. What happens to nurses and doctors who migrate to the UK and the knowledge they carry? What are the challenges they face when they try to obtain recognition of their expertise and qualifications?
Registration by stage@leeds Young Company tells the human stories behind the paperwork. Registration explores migration, stigma, and the complex issue of who is considered worthy of becoming a healthcare professional in the UK.
Can barriers be removed for migrant healthcare professionals, and can we make better use of the talents that come to Britain?
