Rapid response 2024 callout
This is an urgent call to south Yorkshire based theatre and performance-makers…
… What does “Our Home” mean to you?
We’re seeking ‘rapid responses’ that connect with the themes of climate and migration. We want to seed fund new ideas that have the potential to be developed further, elsewhere, and in other contexts.
Proposals should be achievable within a short period of Research & Development commencing in the week beginning 13 June. Selected contributors should be available to share the outcomes of their work as part of an informal sharing event on 21 June.
Deadline for proposals: 17:00 Friday 26 April, 2024
Initial conversations with shortlisted artists: Friday 3 May
Artists confirmed: 7 May
R&D Period: 10-20 June
Sharing event: 21 June
Rapid Response is a collaboration between Ark Sheffield, Sheffield Theatres, Sheffield Hallam University and Migration Matters Festival.

Guest Curator Callout for our 2024 festival - 14th-22nd June!
We are excited to announce a callout for new guest curators to join the festival team for the 2024 festival. We are announcing two roles for this so please read our guidelines and specify which curator role you would like to apply for.
Please read the job spec below. Requirements for this first expressions of interest are:
CV (with reference)
A cover letter of no more than one page of A4 or 2-3 minute video/audio explaining your previous experience and why you’re interested in the role and joining the festival

Migration Matters Festival 2024 callout
Once again we’re on the lookout for expressions of interest for our 2024 festival programme 14th-22nd June!
This year along with our main programme we will have additional strands through which to apply. These are:
Mini-Migration Matters Festival youth strand in partnership with Stand & Be Counted Theatre, The Montgomery Theatre and their Youth Theatre of Sanctuary
Climate Strand with upcoming callout for ‘Rapid Response’ in partnership with Ark Sheffield
Community Strand exclusively for Sheffield based organisers/artists

CREATIVE JOURNEYS: MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
We were proud to lead on our very first Creative Journeys programme in 2021 which supported 11 emerging/aspiring artists to refine and gain valuable insight into their artistic practice. This was showcased on the 15th July 2021 as part of the festival programme.
Please look out for more mentorship and guidance opportunities for aspiring artists in 2024.
