MMF'2021
The 2021 festival saw the introduction of a hybrid festival in response to Covid-19 restrictions and the cautious return to in person events. Beginning with an online series of events for Refugee Week in June and followed by an in person programme three weeks later in July, the festival also introduce a livestream aspect which enable audiences across the world to tune in and access the events.
Notable highlights was a reading and in conversation with Ify Adenuga author of Endless Fortune, mother of Skepta, JME and Julie Adenuga. Comedian Ken Cheng provided much needed laughs with his show To all the Racists I’ve Blocked Before, rapper and singer Mohammad Yahya originally from Mozambique capped off an amazing return at our closing party!
