We are thrilled to welcome these creative curators, who offer new ideas surrounding sanctuary to the festival and our audiences, through their expertise. The 2024 curators are:
Otis Mensah
Known in Sheffield as the city's first Poet Laureate, their work spans literature and performance art with a focus on Black diasporic perspectives.
The multidisciplinary artist will bring a two-part programme, called longerr inheritances , exploring the intersections of music and poetry that find home in jazz experimentation.
Otis is a curator and multidisciplinary artist based between Berlin and Sheffield.

Howl Yuan
Returning to Mig Mat Fest for a fourth year, Howl's Land-scape programme has roots in his first memories of the country.
It delves into how we create, connect and utilise space, spatial perception in relation to the sense of belonging.
Howl is a Tawainese, UK-based, contemporary performance maker.

Tasnim Siddiqa Amin
Tasnim's fascinating programme, If Henna Could Speak, validates work done by women and non-binary people of colour.
It elevates henna and other female-dominated practices to their rightful place, as art in its own right.
Sylheti-born Tasnim is an interdisciplinary artist from East London.
