WELCOMING CULTURES
22 June | 11am- 4pm | Millennium Gallery, Surrey Street, Sheffield
Join us at the Millennium Gallery for a celebration of our multicultural city.
This event marks Refugee Week and Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month.
There will be a mixture of exhibitions, talks and performances.
At Welcoming Cultures, we aim to:
• Share our communities’ dreams and vision in Sheffield.
• Demonstrate how we can be a city of culture where communities put art at the heart of everything.
• Celebrate our city and tell your story
• Connect and collaborate, reuniting businesses with institutions, young people, and communities.
Welcoming Cultures is a co-production between educational institutions and communities, led by Terezia Rostas of Care for Young People's Future in partnership with Sheffield Museums, University of Sheffield, Roots and Futures and Rosa Cisneros historian and artist.
We are also supported by Migration Matters and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
