Routes to Roots: A South Asian Heritage Project
Maya Productions
19 June | 15:00 | The Hubs - Sheffield Hallam University
This vibrant and captivating multi-arts performance brings together participants from Bradford (WomenZone), Sheffield (King Ecgbert’s School) and Croydon (Stanley Arts) to share reflections on migration, heritage and cultural identity.
The performance is the culmination of creative arts workshops held in each city.
Routes to Routes celebrates hidden stories and amplifies diverse voices and artistry within the South Asian diaspora through performance, visual art, film and podcasts.
“These stories are precious…Projects like this highlight the value of each person’s stories.” Audience Member
The project is inspired by Maya’s new Anglo-Indian musical in development, Benny and the Greycats.
