Borders of Childhood (Exhibition)

Dr Patricia Nabuco Martuscelli, Department of Politics & International Relations, University of Sheffield

15 - 22 June | 11:00 - 16:00 | Venue: Soft Ground

Borders of Childhood is an exhibition of drawings by Venezuelan child migrants who were represented and supported by the Brazilian Federal Public Defenders team between 2016 and 2020. The drawings explore the childrens’ experiences of forced migration and the asylum system. Accompanying the drawings are analyses and reflections by Dr Patricia Nabuco Martuscelli, whose research examines asylum and migration politics in Latin America.

The drawings have been previously exhibited at the Brazilian Congress and the headquarters of the United Nations.

This exhibition is organised in partnership with the University of Sheffield
